AI Readiness Scorecard

Eight questions about data, use cases, sponsorship, skills, governance, process, measurement and change capacity. Each answer is worth 0 to 3 points; the total is scaled to 100 and placed in a band. The result is a reading of your own answers and nothing else.

Free. No email required. Your eight answers are scored in your browser and nothing you enter leaves it.

The tool

Run the scorecard

Eight questions, about 2 minutes. Choose the answer closest to how things actually are, not how they are meant to be; the result is only as honest as the answers. There is no email step on this page: the result appears as soon as the eighth question is answered.

This clears every answer you have given so far. Your score will reset to zero.

How it is scored

Eight dimensions, four answers each

Each question offers four answers, ordered from least to most mature and worth 0, 1, 2 or 3 points. The eight scores are added, for a maximum of 24 points, and the total is scaled to 100. That number is placed in one of four bands. Nothing is weighted, nothing is compared with anyone else’s answers, and no benchmark exists behind the page: the score is a reading of your eight answers and only that.

The routing is just as plain. The lowest-scoring dimension names the practice the result points to. If no dimension scored low, the profile maps to AI implementation, where scoped use cases move to production. A route is where to read next, not a diagnosis and not a promised outcome.

  1. 01

    Data foundations

Asks how reliable the data your key decisions rest on actually is.

  2. 02

    Use-case clarity

Asks whether anyone has written down where AI would be applied, and costed it.

  3. 03

    Leadership sponsorship

Asks who owns AI decisions, and whether they hold budget and authority.

  4. 04

    Talent and skills

Asks how much working experience your people have with AI tools.

  5. 05

    Governance and risk

Asks what governs how AI and the data it touches are used.

  6. 06

    Process readiness

Asks how well the processes you would point AI at are defined and measured.

  7. 07

    Measurement discipline

Asks whether initiatives get a baseline, a target and a review.

  8. 08

    Change capacity

Asks what happened the last time the organization changed how it works.

The bands

What each band says about the answers

A band describes the answers given, in the words below. It does not describe your organization against any other, because the scorecard has never seen another organization’s answers and holds no data from one. A high band is not a recommendation to buy anything, and a low band is not a problem a tool can solve: the AI implementation practice starts with the foundations the lowest dimension names.

Scorecard bands by score range
BandScoreThe answers describe
Leading85 to 100mature foundations across most dimensions
Ready65 to 84positioned to put AI to work in scoped, owned use cases
Developing40 to 64real groundwork, with clear gaps still open
Emerging0 to 39at the start of the AI groundwork; foundations before tools

Your answers are kept in this browser tab only, so you can review or change them, and they are cleared when you start over or close the tab. This mount keeps its own slot: finishing the scorecard here does not open the result on any other page.

Where else it runs

The same instrument, elsewhere on the site

This page is the tool’s permanent address. It also runs on the AI hub. The copy embedded there, and on the AI implementation practice page, asks for a work email before showing the result, so that the founder can reply with an outline of the diagnostic. The questions and the scoring are identical.
